My Short Story

Jessica A.

Ever since I was young, I have always loved art and I dreamed of being an artist, but I never thought I would be able to sell and share the pieces I love to make with everyone.

During my junior year of high school, I was getting ready for the annual art show and I wanted to create something on my own that was different from all of the projects being displayed. I was thinking about what I like to do and what I thought other people would like to look at.

I decided to paint a stylized portrait of the rapper, G-Eazy, one of my favorite musicians at the time. I enjoyed painting in this style so much that I was able to finish 2 more portraits, in the one week I had before the show. The additions, Drake and Chance the Rapper, were huge hits and I was amazed at how much people loved them! I showed them as a series which was better than I could have ever imagined.

Now that I have continued my studies of art in college, I have realized that it is completely possible to follow my childhood of being a real life artist and sharing my art with others.

I hope you all love my creations as much as I do!
